Entity names used in the platform and documentation
Before diving deeper, let’s clarify some key terms used throughout both the application and this documentation.
- Spot — Refers to your business location, such as a restaurant, hotel, café, or bar. In short, a spot represents your store or venue.
- Space — Represents the physical area where guests are served. For example, a space could be a table in a restaurant, a room in a hotel, or a seat in a venue. We use “space” as a universal term across different types of businesses.
- Product — The main item you sell, such as food, drinks, or other services.
- Waiter Actions — Special interactive items (like “Call Waiter” or “Request Bill”) that trigger notifications in your back office when guests use them.
- Modifiers — Price or option adjustments linked to products. For example, if a burger costs €9.00 and an extra sauce adds €0.30, selecting that option updates the total to €9.30 automatically.
- Product Bundles — Groups of related products organized under a single category, such as Breakfast, Romantic Dinner, or Appetizers.
