Deleting a Spot
Sometimes you may need to permanently remove a Spot from your DyneOne account — for example, when a location closes or you no longer manage it.
You can delete a spot from your dashboard by navigating to
Management → Spot Settings → Danger Zone.
Before confirming the deletion, please read carefully what this action means for your data and connected users.
Steps to Delete a Spot
- Navigate to Spot Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom.
- Click the Delete Spot button.
- Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.
Once confirmed, DyneOne will begin the deletion process.
Deleting a spot is irreversible. All related data, orders, menus, and staff assignments will be permanently removed.
What Happens When You Delete a Spot
Deleting a spot removes all associated data permanently from our system, including:
- All menu items, product bundles, and categories
- Active and completed orders linked to the spot
- Waitstaff and staff assignments
- Spot statistics, performance data, and reports
- Spot-specific settings such as payment gateways and localization
Staff and guests will no longer see or access the spot after deletion.
Deleting a spot does not delete your DyneOne account — only the selected business location.
Backing Up Your Spot Data Before Deletion
Before deleting a spot, we strongly recommend creating a full backup.
This ensures you have a copy of your data in case you want to restore or review it later.
To back up your spot:
- Navigate to Management → Spot Settings → Backup & Restore.
- Click Export Spot Data.
- Choose a secure location to save the downloaded
.zipfile.
Each backup contains structured data such as:
- Menu items (
JSON/XML) - Orders and transaction history
- Uploaded images (logo, covers, etc.)
- Configuration and metadata
Because backups contain sensitive business information, store them securely and avoid sharing them publicly.
Deletion Timeline
When you confirm the deletion, DyneOne queues the request for processing.
Typically, it takes 3–5 business days for complete removal across all systems.
During this grace period:
- You can NOT access or edit the spot.
- You can NOT request cancellation of the deletion.
